Amanda Seyfried Lists L.A. Home for $3.195 Million

Amanda Seyfried has listed her traditional-style Los Angeles home for $3.195 million as she prepares to move her family to her upstate New York farm full-time.

The “Mean Girls”, “Mamma Mia!” and “The Housemaid” star purchased the 1916 residence from her “Jennifer’s Body” co-star Adam Brody for $1.85 million in 2011, holding onto the property for roughly 15 years.

Originally built in 1916, Seyfried maintained much of the home’s original 20th-century character during her ownership while incorporating updates intended to make the 110-year-old property more functional for modern living.

Why is Seyfried Selling?

Seyfried is looking to sell this LA home as her family makes their 1930s farm in upstate New York their primary residence.

The farm, which she purchased in 2013, has been credited with providing a calmer environment that helped ease her anxiety and OCD symptoms.

Therefore, this listing comes as Seyfried has enjoyed spending more of her time in the peacefulness of the New York property, tending to her rescued animals and taking advantage of slow weekend mornings with the family.

Despite her desire to part with the home, the towering trees creating privacy, separate exercise or creative space, and historic roots give this home the potential to be someone else’s safe space.
