Flea Looks to Sell Malibu Home For $7.995 Million

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has listed his Malibu estate for $7.995 million, offering a look inside the secluded coastal property he purchased six years ago.

The musician, whose real name is Michael Balzary, bought the residence in 2020 for $7.55 million, which sits in the 24-hour guard-gated Malibu Colony community.

After first putting the property on the market earlier this year, Flea is continuing his efforts to sell the four-bedroom estate, which combines contemporary architecture, private wellness amenities, and convenient access to some of Malibu’s most famous beaches.

Final Thoughts on Flea’s Malibu Home

Flea has been a Malibu local since the early 2000s, keeping a foothold along the coast not far from Los Angeles, where the Red Hot Chili Peppers first formed.

While this home is smaller than some of the other Malibu properties he has owned over the years, it still provided the privacy, creative space, and relaxed setting that suited this stage of his life.

Its tucked-away setting, lush landscaping, and collection of outdoor living and wellness spaces make it feel far removed from the city despite its proximity to Los Angeles.

For its next owner, the property offers the chance to step into a more intimate side of Malibu living, with a home that balances character, seclusion, and the easygoing atmosphere that has long drawn Flea to the area.
