The Foreclosure
Spacey purchased the home in 2017 for $5.6 million, but by 2024, it was foreclosed on after he was unable to keep up with mortgage payments.
The property went to auction, where it was ultimately sold to a local real estate investor, as shown in the YouTube video from The Baltimore Banner.
Hoping to flip the estate, the investor quickly relisted it for $6 million, but after multiple price cuts, eventually dropping as low as $4.1 million, the home failed to sell and was taken off the market, a process explained in more depth in a video from Estate Media.
Our Top Four Favorite Spots
While the recent listing described the home as “iconic,” a few spaces across its four floors stand out even more, celebrated for the unique design and variety they bring to the residence.
Living Room
On the second floor, you can find the living room in an open-concept space that maximizes waterfront views with its expansive floor-to-ceiling windows.
In the center of the space, a sculptural curved sofa faces a sleek fireplace with a mounted TV, creating a cozy yet sophisticated focal point.
Primary Suite
The primary suite on the third floor is a luxurious space to rest with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic waterfront views.
The spacious bedroom features soft, neutral tones, plush carpeting, and elegant drapery for privacy. A cozy seating area near the windows enhances the relaxing atmosphere, while recessed lighting and tray ceilings add a refined touch.
Primary Suite Bathroom
Within the primary suite, the bathroom is a sophisticated blend of rich wood cabinetry, polished stone countertops, and modern amenities.
On one side is a sleek, glass-enclosed shower equipped with multiple showerheads and options for massaging jet streams.
Opposite the shower is a vanity equipped with heated towel racks and a mounted TV, which offer both comfort and convenience.
Cedar Sauna
Up on the fourth floor, a private sauna is tucked away in between two hallways. The walls, ceiling, and built-in benches are wrapped in warm cedar wood, creating a traditional spa-like atmosphere.
More Photos Inside Spacey’s Home
For a more detailed look inside Spacey’s former Baltimore home, Instagram posts from The Optimism Group and Sam Sheibani Realtor showcase additional photos that highlight its interiors and unique features not yet seen.
One of our other favorite spots, shown in more detail in these posts, is the rooftop terrace, which offers an open-air retreat with sweeping views of the waterfront skyline.
A mix of artificial turf and large stone pavers creates a clean and modern aesthetic, making it an ideal setting for outdoor entertaining or quiet relaxation at the edge of the city.
Our Margin Call
With its prime waterfront location and sweeping views of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, Kevin Spacey’s former estate remains one of the city’s most distinctive luxury properties.
Once listed as high as $6 million, the Harborview residence ultimately failed to find a buyer, despite its exclusivity, high-end design, and some of the most iconic views in Baltimore.
Though it’s now off the market, the property still stands as a remarkable piece of the city’s skyline with its history tied to Hollywood prestige.
