Stepping Inside Martin Truex Jr.’s Home
Entering through Martin Truex Jr.’s front door, the first view centers on the foyer itself, where a dark wood paneled door is framed by clean white walls, recessed lighting, and a statement ceiling fixture.

Wide-plank wood floors run across the floor, bordered by darker trim that ties into the door and ceiling accents, while the home’s layout opens outward through two symmetrical arched openings.
Looking straight ahead from the foyer, the space extends into the great room, where the ceiling height rises, and large windows begin to fill the far wall with natural light.

Great Room
Through the center archway, the home opens into a two-story great room with floor-to-ceiling windows rising behind the main seating area, framing Lake Norman.

The seating arrangement is centered around a tall stone fireplace, with matching sofas facing each other across a wood coffee table.
The fireplace stretches upward toward the second-floor overlook, while a rustic wood mantel and built-in side cabinets add texture against the stone.

Dining Rooms
The home includes two distinct dining areas, with one positioned to take advantage of the lake views and another set closer to the front of the house for more formal meals.
Casual Dining Space
Just off the great room, the casual dining space is wrapped in glass doors and tall windows that look out toward Lake Norman.
The vaulted wood ceiling and exposed beams continue the home’s rustic detailing, while the round table keeps the room scaled for everyday meals.

Formal Dining Space
At the front of the house, the formal dining room has a more enclosed layout, with large windows, exposed ceiling beams, and lantern-style pendants over the table.
From here, the room connects to the kitchen through an arched opening, keeping it separate but still tied into the main flow of the home.

Gourmet Chef’s Kitchen
Down the hall, the kitchen continues the home’s mix of stone, wood, and traditional detailing. In the center of the space is a large island topped with heavily veined stone and built with storage, a prep sink, and under-counter appliances.

Dark wood cabinetry wraps the perimeter, contrasting with the lighter island and wide-plank floors. Along one wall, a stone-framed cooking alcove gives the kitchen a more custom, built-in look, while the opposite side opens toward a fireplace room.

Cozy Fireplace Room
Next to the kitchen, the fireplace room shifts into a more relaxed part of the home, while still having the same European-style detailing seen throughout the main level.
The space features a full-height stone fireplace wall, with a heavy wood mantel, mounted TVs, and a deep hearth running along the base.

Above, the vaulted wood ceiling, exposed beams, and crystal chandelier add height and contrast, while the sectional seating and large ottoman make the room function as an everyday gathering space that connects directly to an outdoor terrace.

Primary Suite
The main-level primary suite is positioned as a private wing of the home, combining scale, thoughtful design, and direct connection to the surrounding landscape.
Bedroom
The bedroom opens with wide-plank hardwood floors and a soft, neutral palette anchored by a large upholstered bed and bench.
Along the far wall, a trio of tall windows frames views of the trees and water, while a small sitting area is set directly in front of the glass.

Coffee Bar
Just off the bedroom, a built-in coffee bar adds a functional layer to the suite, finished with stone countertops, custom cabinetry, and a tiled backsplash.

Two-Story Designer Closet
The suite’s closet is designed with volume in mind, rising to a second level with custom shelving, built-in storage, and a central island for organization.

A staircase leads to the upper level, where additional wardrobe space lines both sides beneath vaulted ceilings and arched windows.
Natural light filters in through the large windows, giving the space the feel of a boutique showroom rather than a typical closet.

En-Suite Bathroom
Finishing off the suite, the en-suite bathroom begins with a built-in soaking tub set within a stone alcove, positioned next to one of the vanities with warm wood cabinetry, stone countertops, and a metal sink.

Beyond the soaking tub, the bathroom continues into a large walk-in shower with multiple showerheads, body sprays, and handheld fixtures.
Stone tile lines one side of the space, while a mosaic accent wall adds texture and contrast across the main shower area.

Entertainer’s Level
Downstairs, the entertainer’s level shifts the home into a more recreational setting, with dedicated spaces for games, drinks, workouts, and movie nights arranged across a finished lower floor.
Game Lounge
The level opens with a large game lounge starting with a white L-shaped couch just before the far side of the room, which has a red-felt pool table and an air hockey machine.

A leather-paneled ceiling, stone flooring, and a box-style hanging light give the main play area a heavier, club-like look, while the windows keep it connected to the outdoor areas.

Custom Bar
Nearby, the bar is fully built out with wood cabinetry, glass shelving, pendant lights, and seating along the counter. The slate floor continues through the space, tying it back to the game lounge while giving the room a more finished entertaining setup.

Gym
The gym sits in a large mirrored room with multiple windows and recessed lighting, making it flexible enough for equipment, stretching, or open workouts.

Home Theater
The home theater completes the level with leather reclining seats, red wall panels, wood trim, and a dedicated screen.

Just outside, a concession-style area with movie posters, display cases, and a “Days of Thunder” marquee adds a playful nod to Truex’s racing world.

The Carriage House
The carriage house continues the home’s lodge-inspired detailing, with a guest apartment above that uses warm wood floors, dark trim, vaulted ceilings, and rustic accents to create a self-contained space separate from the main house.
Kitchen
The apartment opens with a compact kitchen built around dark wood cabinetry, granite counters, and a raised breakfast bar.

The space includes stainless-steel appliances, a small sink area, bar seating, and a small breakfast nook, giving guests a place to eat casual meals.

Living Room
Beyond the kitchen, the living area opens under a vaulted wood ceiling with exposed beams and a leather seating arrangement at the center.
The room has a lodge-like character, with warm floors, dark wainscoting, and a bar placed at the far end of the room.

Bedroom
The bedroom keeps the same rustic palette, with wood floors, dark trim, and paneled doors leading toward the closet.
A leather headboard, vintage-style chest, and zebra rug continue the apartment’s Western-inspired look while keeping the space practical for overnight guests.

Outdoor Amenities
Heading outside, the amenities are designed as a full extension of the home, combining covered entertaining areas, open hardscaping, and direct access to the water.
Dining Area and Kitchen
A covered patio sits just off the home, finished with a wood-paneled ceiling, recessed lighting, and a full built-in grilling station set into a stone wall.
The setup includes a grill, vent hood, prep space, and mounted TV, with a long dining table positioned beneath the ceiling for shaded meals.

Built-In Fire Pit
Just beyond the covered area, a circular stone fire pit is set into the paver courtyard, creating a natural gathering point.
It’s surrounded by open space for seating, with the stone exterior of the home and landscaping forming a defined backdrop.

Infinity-Edge Pool
The pool anchors the backyard, designed with an infinity edge that drops into a lower catch basin. A rock feature integrates a cascading waterfall, while the surrounding deck opens up toward the house, framing views back to the multiple terraces.

Private Dock
A path extends from the backyard down to a covered dock, finished in wood with a pitched roof. The dock includes a boat lift and seating area, providing direct access to the water while maintaining a sheltered space at the end of the pier.

Why is Truex Jr. Selling?
After nearly two decades in Mooresville, Martin Truex Jr. is officially parting ways with the home that shaped much of his racing lifestyle.
The estate, which is over 4 acres and features lake access, an infinity pool, and custom-built interiors, was designed for both performance and peace, mirroring the balance he sought during his career.
But with his full-time retirement from NASCAR in June 2024, Truex is turning the page, making the sale of his home the end of an era and a great opportunity for a new owner.
