Zoltan Bathory Lists Las Vegas Castle For $28 Million
Zoltan Bathory, guitarist for Five Finger Death Punch, is listing his Las Vegas lakefront castle estate for $28 million after completing a years-long transformation of the property.
Originally planned as a one-year project, the renovation stretched to six years as Bathory worked with architect Michael Murphy of Blue Heron to reshape the home.
The result blends a European-inspired exterior with a modern interior defined by glass, steel, and limestone.
Set on Lake Sahara, the property is configured as a private compound with multiple structures and direct water access.

Entering The Castle
The approach to Bathory’s castle begins along a wide stone-paved driveway that gently curves toward the home, guiding you directly beneath a covered porte-cochère.
As you move forward, the 17th-century European exterior reveals itself in layers, with light-colored stone, steeply pitched rooflines, and carved detailing around the windows and gables.

Continuing under the arched passage and at the front door, a set of shallow stone steps leads up to a carved wooden door with a pointed arch, its surface divided into paneled sections with intricate trim.

Library
Right past the front entrance, the library is one of the only dark and moody rooms in the house, wrapped in deep wood paneling from floor to ceiling, with tall leaded windows along one side.
The seating area is arranged around a carved coffee table, with tufted leather sofas and chairs set across from a fireplace with a green stone surround.

The Great Room
Further down the hall is the great room, where pale stone walls, clean-lined furnishings, and a glass-railed upper gallery wrap above the seating area.
At the center of the room, a carved stone fireplace anchors one wall, with a television mounted above and a pointed arched wine display tucked beside it.

A grouping of low, white sofas and chairs keeps the room arranged for conversation, while the dark slatted coffee table adds contrast against the light stone floors.
Across the back of the room, wide sliding glass doors open the space directly to the terrace, bringing in daylight and views of the surrounding landscape.

Formal Dining Room
On one side of the great room, you’ll find the formal dining room set within a projecting bay and lined with tall stone-trimmed leaded windows on three sides.
At the center, a live-edge wood table introduces a warmer, more organic element against the carved stone and dark paneled wainscoting, surrounded by upholstered dining chairs that soften the room.

Bartop Dining Area
On the opposite side of the great room, a sitting room will lead you to the bartop dining area. Here, the ceiling lifts dramatically overhead, exposing the full height of the stone walls and pitched roof where a wrought-iron chandelier hangs above the table.
The table itself continues the Gothic design of the house with a carved trestle-style base that mirrors the pointed arches in the surrounding windows and wall openings.

A polished wood top softens the stone backdrop, and the row of stools turns the setup into a more casual place to gather, whether for drinks, a quick meal, or conversation spilling over from the main seating area.
Kitchen
In the next room, the kitchen shifts the house into a more streamlined, contemporary look. Tall glossy cabinetry in a deep espresso wraps the walls almost from floor to ceiling, giving the space a polished look, while pale stone floors and matching countertops keep the space bright.

At the center, a long island establishes the kitchen’s working core, fitted with an integrated cooktop and topped by a large stainless steel vent hood.
Along the perimeter, the counters continue beneath the reflective cabinetry, with a second sink, built-in appliances, and storage arranged in crisp linear lines.

Primary Suite
Up on the second floor, the primary suite combines the home’s castle-inspired architecture with a much softer, more restrained palette.
Bedroom
The bedroom opens across warm wood floors and white walls, with a low platform bed set against a full limestone feature wall.
At one end, the room widens into a sitting area framed by a row of pointed windows that curve around two white armchairs and a circular wood coffee table.

En-Suite Bathroom
In the bathroom, a freestanding tub sits in front of a limestone wall and beneath exposed wood beams, with a long horizontal fireplace cut directly into the stone behind it.

Across from the tub, a long floating vanity in richly grained wood stretches beneath a large backlit mirror, with vessel sinks set on top.

Off to the side, the glass-enclosed shower area features matching pale stone floors, built-in wood shelving, and a bench that reinforces the suite’s spa-like layout.

Walk-in Closet
The suite’s closet sits just around the corner and under steep rooflines, opening into a symmetrical dressing area with built-in wood cabinetry and mirrored central storage.

Top Level Amenities
At the top level, the house shifts into a dedicated wellness floor, where the steep rooflines are turned into a series of open, finished rooms for fitness, recovery, and wellness.
Gym
The gym space opens beneath angled ceilings, with skylights cut overhead to bring natural light directly onto the floor.
One wall is lined with oversized mirrors, while a mounted screen and suspended dome lights make the space perfect for a workout space.

Spa Room
Beyond that, the wellness area narrows into a more intimate studio-like room tucked under the peak of the roof.
Here, the sloped wood ceilings drop low on both sides and are traced with linear lighting. A limestone wall serves as the TV background, while mats and light weights make it perfect for yoga or pilates.

Off to the side, the spa corner is arranged as a softer lounge area with stone walls, woven pendant lights, floor cushions, and a low table, creating a place for sound healing.
It connects directly to the larger wellness area, which has two massage beds ready to be used.

Main House Outdoor Spaces
Outside, the main house extends across multiple levels, using the lot’s elevation to create a series of outdoor spaces that step from the roofline down to the water.
Rooftop Deck
At the top, the rooftop deck functions as an open-air lookout above the house, finished with wide-plank decking, glass railings, and narrow strips of turf along the edges.

Pool Area
Down below, the pool area is arranged on a lower terrace at the back of the house, where the water is framed by balustrades, broad staircases, and stone surfaces that match the rest of the exterior.

Private Dock
At the base of the property, a long private dock runs along the canal, creating a direct connection to the water.

Guest Residence
The estate continues with a guest residence that mirrors the scale and polish of the main house, offering its own full set of living spaces.

Foyer
The foyer has an expansive, open-plan with curved ceiling details, wide wood floors, and a staircase wrapped in decorative iron railing leading to the basement.
The seating branches off from the center and flows directly toward a raised bar and dining area in the background.

Backyard
Outside, the backyard begins with covered terraces stretching the width of the house, followed by a freeform pool in the middle of the space, all surrounded by palm trees and string lights.

Sports Court
Lastly, the sports court provides a more casual recreational amenity, enclosed by white walls and fitted for half-court basketball, volleyball, and other games across the multi-use surface.

Why is Bathory Selling?
Zoltan Bathory isn’t tied to ownership of his Vegas castle in the traditional sense, instead, the real reward has been the process, taking on something ambitious, shaping it, and pushing it to its fullest potential.
Now that the renovations are complete and the property has reached the vision he set out to create, the work that energized him is finished, and he’s ready to move on to his next project.
For the next owner, that translates into a property that already exists at its highest level, where the scale, layout, and amenities have been fully thought through and executed without compromise.
From the main residence to the guest house, the layered outdoor spaces, and the architectural details that tie it all together, the home offers a finished product ready to be lived in and loved.
