Anna Kendrick Sells Hollywood Hills Home for $2.4 Million

After more than a decade of ownership, Anna Kendrick has officially sold her charming Hollywood Hills starter home for $2.4 million.

The Pitch Perfect and Another Simple Favor star originally purchased the 1930s residence in 2012 for just over $1 million, later turning it into a high-end rental, making nearly $10,000 a month.

With her upgrade to a $7 million hilltop estate in 2022, Kendrick has now closed the chapter on this private canyon retreat, tucked away on a corner lot surrounded by trees.

About The Pitch Perfect-era Home

This house has been dubbed Kendrick’s “Pitch Perfect-era” home due to it being her home base during the filming and promotion of all three installments in the franchise.

Especially having been bought in 2012 for $1 million, just before the release of the original Pitch Perfect, which was an overnight success and led to her rising stardom in the years to come.

Over the next decade, she renovated the 2,700-square-foot home, updating the interiors with modern finishes while preserving its classic charm.

The property includes three bedrooms, including a spacious primary suite with its own private den and balcony, offering views of the Santa Monica Mountains, as shown in a YouTube video shared by realtor Helen Mizoguchi.

The End of an Era

Anna Kendrick’s sale of her $2.4 million Hollywood Hills home marks the end of a formative era that began when Pitch Perfect first hit theaters in 2012, the same year she had acquired this home.

The 1930s charmer was her very first home in Los Angeles, a cozy space she called her own throughout the filming of all three franchise installments.

Now, more than a decade later, Kendrick has traded up in a major way, settling into a $7 million, 5,000-square-foot estate just up the hill. With the new home offering significantly more space and privacy, the new home reflects both her personal growth and the scale of her success, making this sale feel like a natural step forward.
