Look Inside Drake’s $100 Million Toronto Mansion
Long before it became a $100 million landmark worthy of multiple news segments, Drake’s Toronto estate began as a $6.7 million property purchase in 2015.
The Grammy-winning rapper and global megastar spent years building his dream home from the ground up, a 50,000-square-foot custom masterpiece now known as The Embassy.
Designed by famed Canadian architect Ferris Rafauli, the property fuses old-world craftsmanship with modern extravagance, mirroring Drake’s rise from local talent to international icon.

The Building Process
After purchasing the property, Drake demolished the existing home to make way for a fully custom-built home tailored to his vision. While the main construction wrapped up in about three years, it took nearly six years in total to finalize every detail of the design.
In a clip from CTV News, you can catch a glimpse of the mansion during its early stages of development.
The Completed Mansion
From the outside, the mansion’s Beaux Arts–inspired limestone exterior, bronze-framed windows, and towering privacy trees set the tone for the luxury inside.
Step through the doors and you’re met with a 44-foot-high Great Room, a primary suite larger than most condos, and amenities that redefine extravagance, as highlighted in realtor.com’s Instagram post.
From hosting in the neon-lit Olympic-sized pool to shooting hoops beneath a pyramidal skylight on the NBA-regulation court, every corner of the home blends privacy, indulgence, and deeply personal storytelling into one iconic estate, as shown in more detail in The Richest’s YouTube video.
Overall, the Embassy functions as a living museum of Drake’s life, where his trophies, jerseys, and platinum records are treated like artifacts, each telling a story of achievement and passion.
Most Notable Features
While there are many notable spots within Drake’s Toronto mansion, a few standout features have been revealed in behind-the-scenes videos shared by designer Ferris Rafauli, showing the layers of design, ambition, and personal storytelling that define the estate.
Crystal-Lit Staircase
The chandeliers floating above the staircase were originally designed by Hans Harald Rath in 1963 for the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Composed of 20,000 hand-cut Swarovski crystals, the piece adds a striking sense of grandeur to the transition between levels.
Drake’s 4,000 Pound Bath Tub
One thing’s for sure: you can’t bring this bathtub through the front door. Instead, the massive black and white marble tub was lifted by crane and lowered through an unfinished wall of the primary suite during construction.
NBA-Regulation Basketball Court
This video offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of Drake’s most iconic amenities: his NBA-regulation basketball court. Complete with a balcony-level viewing room and candy bar, the space is designed for both high-level play and luxe spectator comfort.
Olympic-Sized Pool
The final amenity featured by Ferris Rafauli is the indoor Olympic-sized pool, illuminated by purple neon lights and surrounded by glossy black walls. The dramatic design creates a transportive, otherworldly atmosphere, like swimming through a galaxy.
Why Did Drake Build The Embassy?
At its core, Drake’s $100 million Toronto mansion, “The Embassy,” is a deeply personal monument to legacy, ambition, and hometown pride.
Built with the intention of lasting a century, the estate reflects not only the scale of his success but the values that carried him there and his unshakable bond with his hometown.
Every detail of the property speaks to Drake’s belief in building something permanent, both for himself and for Toronto, a city that shaped him. In designing a home that he hopes will stand the test of time, Drake has ensured that long after the hits fade, his legacy will remain in the place where he was born.
