Michael Andretti Looks to Sell His Waterfront Indiana Estate For $9.95 Million

Motorsports Hall of Famer Michael Andretti has cut the price on his grand Indiana lakefront estate, from $12 million to $9.95 million, as he shifts gears into retirement.

The château-style home, perched on 5.23 acres overlooking Geist Reservoir, is a testament to Andretti’s love of speed, precision, and luxury.

He and his wife, Jodi Andretti, purchased the property in 2016 for nearly $2.2 million and spent three years rebuilding it from the ground up to create a one-of-a-kind home that merges European design with state-of-the-art technology.

Inside Andretti’s Estate

Social House Real Estate and a news segment from CBS4 Indy offer a closer look at the gated Andretti Estate, where the home opens to a main floor with panoramic lake views.

Inside, rooms flow from a fireside study and estate lounge to a kitchen featuring a 14-foot marble island, dual kitchens, and a 38-foot heated veranda with retractable screens and a grilling station.

The private owner’s wing includes a reading room and coffee nook, a double-sided fireplace, and a curved glass wall framing the lake.

Upstairs, two separate wings offer a total of four en suite bedrooms, one set with a loft and another configured as a full guest apartment with its own kitchen and laundry.

The resort-style lower level mimics a private club, complete with a 15-seat bar, billiards room, arcade, theater, 700-bottle wine cellar, fitness studio, and four additional bedrooms, each with outdoor access.

Outdoor Spaces

True to its setting on Geist Reservoir, the estate’s outdoor amenities turn the property into a year-round retreat.

A 50-foot gunite pool with slide, waterfalls, and fire features takes up most of the backyard, surrounded by patios, lawns, and trails.

A children’s play cottage with HVAC, a three-slip boat dock, and two 900-square-foot guest apartments in a separate carriage house complete the additional amenities on the property.

A Deep Dive Into Our Favorite Spots

Andretti’s home is filled with standout spaces, each showcasing a unique blend of craftsmanship and comfort, but a few in particular deserve a closer look for the way their design captures the elegance and personality of the estate.

Primary Suite Bathroom

The primary suite bathroom with its barrel-vaulted ceiling finished in gleaming glass tile is easily one of our favorite spots in Andretti’s home.

The ceiling’s golden mosaic surface catches the light from the chandeliers, giving the room a warm, reflective glow.

Dual vanities with rich wood cabinetry line each side of the room, offering symmetry and storage, while marble countertops add timeless polish.

At the far end, a freestanding tub takes center stage beneath an arched window framed by greenery, turning bath time into a scenic experience.

Primary Suite Closet Space

Another spot we are obsessed with in the primary suite is the closet, taking up more than 650 square feet and designed with the precision of a luxury boutique.

Glass-front cabinets line the walls, showcasing handbags and accessories like curated art pieces, while open shelving and built-in drawers offer endless storage for wardrobe essentials.

At the center, a marble-topped island provides additional organization space, creating a functional yet elegant focal point under a crystal chandelier.

Another section of the closet feels tailored for daily preparation, complete with a dedicated vanity area surrounded by mirrored lighting and plush seating.

The pale cabinetry, soft lighting, and patterned flooring combine to make the space as refined as it is practical, with these two areas just one small part of the entire closet.

Why is Andretti Selling?

Michael Andretti’s decision to list his waterfront estate in Fishers for $9.95 million marks the close of a defining chapter in both his personal and professional life.

After years of overseeing his IndyCar team and maintaining deep ties to Indianapolis, the racing legend is easing into retirement and embracing a new lifestyle rooted in relaxation rather than race day intensity.

Now settled into a $27 million waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale, Andretti and his wife are trading the Midwest’s heartland for Florida’s coastal luxury, a fitting transition for a man whose career has always been about forward motion.
