WeatherTech founder David MacNeil Lists Fort Lauderdale Mansion For $36 Million

Billionaire WeatherTech founder David MacNeil has put his newly built Fort Lauderdale mansion on the market.

The oceanfront estate was listed for $36 million just a month before MacNeil purchased a significantly larger $75 million property in nearby Manalapan.

The Fort Lauderdale home was originally brought to market last year for $47.5 million with a different brokerage, making the new price a notable reduction as MacNeil refocuses his South Florida real estate holdings.

Property Highlights

Price: $36 million
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Size: 10,289 square feet
Beds: 5

Notable Features: 100 feet of direct ocean frontage, infinity-edge pool, Poliform closets, gourmet chef’s kitchen, summer kitchen, floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

Inside the Fort Lauderdale Estate

Set along one of Fort Lauderdale’s most coveted stretches of sand, this modern home, constructed by Bomar Builders, has 100 feet of unobstructed ocean frontage.

It stretches more than 10,000 square feet and is surrounded by soaring glass walls that frame Atlantic views, as seen in the posts from Chad Carroll and The Carroll Group.

The main level is designed for entertaining, flowing through a gourmet chef’s kitchen and expansive living, dining, and lounge spaces that open directly to an ocean-facing terrace.

Upstairs, the primary suite is positioned to maximize privacy and ocean views, opening to its own private terrace. Also included in the suite is an en-suite bath and custom Poliform closets.

Outside, a floating infinity-edge pool appears to spill into the horizon, while a fully equipped summer kitchen extends the entertaining capabilities outdoors.

Video Tour

For a more detailed look at MacNeil’s property, the tour from Chad Carroll offers a deeper sense of how the home flows from one space to the next, giving viewers a true feel for its layout and scale.

One of our favorite spaces highlighted in the video is the primary suite, filmed at golden hour, when warm sunlight pours in through the private balcony doors and completely transforms the room.

Why is MacNeil Selling?

The listing of this Fort Lauderdale estate comes just months after MacNeil first began shifting his focus south to Manalapan, where he has been assembling land and properties with the intention of living closer to family.

After purchasing an unfinished estate across two parcels in 2024 and 2025, and later acquiring another oceanfront home nearby for $75 million, MacNeil is now offering the original Manalapan land for $125 million.

Both listings point towards a readjustment of plans as he prioritizes proximity and flexibility ahead of welcoming a new grandchild.

Now, the Fort Lauderdale home represents a clean, turnkey opportunity for a new owner, while allowing MacNeil to concentrate on his role as a Grandpa just down the coast.
